# C1: Review of Bobby's titles and descriptions sheet (14 Oct)

For Vinny, from Som · Thursday 15 October 2026 · to be cross-checked by a second model (Astra 6)

**What was reviewed.** Bobby's Google Sheet, downloaded 15 Oct (xlsx export, both tabs: "Metadata" with 10 pages and "BIOS Guides Pending SEO Check" with 5 pages). Compared with Som's C1 table of 11 Oct (`C1-titles-metas-h1s.md`), which is the version Austin's tracker item 14 was waiting on Bobby to check. Keyword evidence from V12 and the raw Ahrefs and Search Console exports in `raw-ahrefs/`. Rules from the copy audit skill, steps 6 (claims) and 7 (SEO placement). Live redirects checked 15 Oct.

**Assumption to confirm.** No separate copy of "the version Vinny sent Austin" is saved in this folder, so this review treats Som's 11 Oct C1 table as that version. If Austin actually got the older 5 Oct developer draft (`DEV-site-changes.md` change 3), then the homepage, `/technology` and `/expert-tuning` title and keyword changes came from Som's 11 Oct rewrite of Bobby's 7 Oct split, not from Bobby's 14 Oct sheet.

---

## 1. Verdict

Not ready to go to Austin as it stands, but it is close: the fixes are small and none needs a rewrite. Bobby kept every title from the 11 Oct version except `/technology`, kept every primary keyword except one (`/guides/xtu-bios`), and rewrote 11 of the 15 meta descriptions. Most of his metas are fine, and three of them fix real problems in Som's version (the homepage, `/technology` and `/expert-tuning` metas were 158, 160 and 161 characters, over the 155 limit, even though C1 listed them as 157, 157 and 156). The critical issues are: (1) the new `/guides` meta leads with "best BIOS settings for gaming", which is the primary keyword of the planned BIOS page (content calendar #19), so the two pages would compete unless Bobby confirms `/guides` is that page; (2) the Metadata tab has no proposed H1 column, so 10 pages, including the six-H1 and eight-H1 fixes on `/technology` and `/expert-tuning`, would reach Kamil with no H1; and (3) the five BIOS guide rows are still on a tab Bobby labelled "Pending SEO Check", yet one of them has a changed primary keyword ("intel xtu") with no reason given. Separately, Bobby's "Reason" column is copied word for word from Som's C1 and does not explain his own changes, and the homepage primary "game optimizer" still has no stated evidence. Fix those, drop the two redirected pages, and it can go to Austin, who only needs to look at the homepage wording and the two claims flagged in section 3.

## 2. What changed, page by page

"Old" is Som's C1 of 11 Oct. Character counts are counted with spaces, without trailing spaces, as old / Bobby's. Evidence: "Ahrefs" is US monthly volume / global, with keyword difficulty (KD) and traffic potential (TP) where pulled; "GSC" is Search Console impressions and average position for hypertune.gg (3 months to 3 Oct from `gsc-nonbrand-queries-3m.json`, or Bobby's own column, 27 Aug to 6 Oct).

| Page | Old primary | Bobby's primary | Ahrefs / GSC evidence | Old title | Bobby's title | Chars | Old meta | Bobby's meta | Chars | Verdict |

| `/` | game optimizer | game optimizer (no change) | Ahrefs: US 250, KD 22, Razer Cortex #1 and Hone #2, labelled branded in both competitors' reports (`organic-keywords-us.json`); V12 says "Not pulled". GSC: no impressions for "game optimizer" in either our export or Bobby's column. The homepage's actual ranking terms are "pc optimization for gaming" (504 impr, pos 7.0; Bobby's column 603, pos 7.13) and "pc optimization" (530, pos 8.4) | Game Optimizer for Higher FPS \| Hypertune | No change | 41 / 41 | Hypertune is a game optimizer and an FPS booster. **Count:** 11 of 15 pages changed (11 metas, 1 title, 1 primary keyword). Unchanged: `/terms-of-service`, `/guides/amd-bios`, `/guides/bios-update`, `/guides/xmp-bios`.

**Also changed, not per page:**
- **H1s are gone from the Metadata tab.** It has no proposed H1 column, so none of the 10 pages on it (homepage, `/technology`, `/expert-tuning`, `/tutorial`, `/guides`, the redirects and the legal pages) has an H1. Only the BIOS tab keeps them, matching C1. The H1 fixes are the biggest on-page win on `/technology` (6 H1s today) and `/expert-tuning` (8, including "0+" counters).
- **The "Reason" column is Som's, not Bobby's.** It is copied from C1 and in places now contradicts his edits: the `/guides` reason says the description "names... the board brands covered", but his meta drops the brands; the `/guides/xtu-bios` reason says it "uses the audit's example keyword", which was "intel xtu bios settings", the phrase he replaced. The only note of Bobby's own is the redirect note on `/what-hypertune-changes`. This is the concrete version of Som's concern: the changes have no explanation.
- **Bobby uses a different meta window.** His sheet flags descriptions over 160 in red and under 120 in amber; our rule is 140 to 155. Ten of his metas are under 140, and three (`/guides` 98, `/uninstall` 119, `/cookies` 112) are under his own 120 line.
- **New column:** secondary keywords from Search Console, 27 Aug to 6 Oct. Useful and worth keeping.

## 3. Rule checks on Bobby's version

### Length (title 50 to 60, meta 140 to 155)

| Page | Title | Meta | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/` | 41, short | 135, short | Title was 41 in C1 too |
| `/technology` | 58, OK | 129, short | |
| `/expert-tuning` | 36, short | 131, short | Title was the same in C1 |
| `/tutorial` | 43, short | 127, short | |
| `/guides` | 54, OK | 98, short | Under Bobby's own 120 line |
| `/guides/amd-bios` | 45, short | 140, OK | |
| `/guides/bios-update` | 42, short | 139, short by 1 | |
| `/guides/xtu-bios` | 55, OK | 140, OK | |
| `/guides/xtu-bios-vbs` | 47, short | 143, OK | |
| `/guides/xmp-bios` | 51, OK | 139, short by 1 | |
| Legal pages | 25 to 28 | 112, 149, 93 | Legal pages are exempt from targeting; fine |

Short titles are inherited from C1, not new. Short titles are not harmful in themselves; the 50 to 60 rule is about using the space for the keyword. Not a blocker. Short metas are a "pick one standard" question for Bobby, not a blocker.

Several cells carry trailing spaces (homepage, `/technology`, `/guides/amd-bios` and `/guides/bios-update` titles; `/technology` and `/guides/xtu-bios` metas; the "game optimizer " and "intel xtu " keywords). The sheet's count includes them, so the homepage shows 42 instead of 41. Kamil should trim them when pasting.

### Primary placement

- **Missing "| Hypertune" at the end:** `/tutorial`, `/what-hypertune-changes`, `/uninstall` (same in C1). Only `/tutorial` matters, since the other two redirect.
- **Primary not word for word in the meta:** `/technology` ("Optimize your PC for gaming", a close variant, same as C1); `/guides` (primary "bios guide for gaming" appears nowhere; title has "BIOS Guides for Gaming PCs"); `/guides/xtu-bios` ("Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU)" rather than "Intel XTU"); `/guides/amd-bios`, `/guides/bios-update`, `/guides/xmp-bios`, `/guides/xtu-bios-vbs` (variants, same as C1).
- **Primary near the start of the title:** passes on every targeted page.
- **H1:** cannot be checked for the Metadata tab because there is no H1 column. The BIOS tab's H1s each contain the primary or a close variant.

### Duplicate primaries and cannibalisation

- **`/guides` and the planned BIOS page (critical).** Bobby's `/guides` meta opens with "best BIOS settings for gaming", the primary of content calendar #19 ("Best BIOS settings for gaming", draft 9 to 10 Nov) and V12's BIOS guide row. This needs Bobby's answer on the hub question before handover: either `/guides` becomes the BIOS gaming page (then #19 is folded into it, not written as a new URL) or the new page stays separate (then `/guides` reverts to the 11 Oct meta, or the suggested one below).
- **`/guides/xtu-bios` "intel xtu" and `/guides/xtu-bios-vbs` "intel xtu vbs".** The new broader primary contains the other page's primary, so the two near-identical pages now compete harder. "intel xtu" on its own is likely to be Intel's download page search, and it also sits close to the planned "Hypertune vs manual tuning (Intel XTU, MSI Afterburner)" comparison (calendar #24). The 11 Oct "intel xtu bios settings" avoided all three.
- **`/technology` and the C3 gaming guide (not Bobby's change, our files disagree).** V12 says "how to optimize pc for gaming" is a `/technology` secondary (call, 12 Oct) and the guide's primary is "PC optimization for gaming". The content calendar (N1 row 5) still gives the guide "how to optimize pc for gaming", and N1 row 2 still gives the homepage "pc optimization for gaming". Ahrefs files "optimize pc for gaming" and "how to optimize pc for gaming" under one topic (V12 summary 4). Som should correct N1 to match V12; not a question for Bobby.
- **Homepage and `/technology` mockups:** no clash. The homepage mockup uses "game optimizer" in the title, meta and H1, and uses "optimize PC for gaming" only as link text pointing to `/technology`. The `/technology` mockup uses "optimize PC for gaming" in the title, meta and H1, and "game optimizer" only in a review note. But there are now three versions of each meta in circulation (C1, Bobby's sheet, and the mockups): the homepage mockup has "Hypertune is a game optimizer and FPS booster for Windows PCs. It tunes your CPU, GPU, memory and network for up to 60% higher FPS in your games." and the `/technology` mockup has a third meta too. Pick one source of truth before Kamil gets anything.

### Claims (skill step 6, V13)

- **"up to 60% more FPS" (homepage meta).** The only allowed figure, but V13 still tags it [Austin to confirm] and words it "up to 60% higher FPS; results vary by hardware and game". Austin should see it explicitly.
- **"one-click undo" (homepage), "nothing is permanent" (`/what-hypertune-changes`).** V13 item 9 says Austin must confirm reversibility before any copy says changes are fully reversible (a researcher reported drivers stay installed after uninstall). Both were in C1 too. The second disappears when the row is dropped; the first should go to Austin with the homepage.
- **"in one remote session" (`/expert-tuning`).** Matches V13 ("Separate one-time remote session with an engineer"). OK.
- **`/tutorial`.** The "Trusted by Vanguard, FACEIT, EAC, and BattlEye" line stays out. OK.
- No "trusted by", "verified", "certified", creator names or other FPS figures anywhere in the proposed copy.

### Style

- **No em dashes in any proposed title or meta.** The only em dash in the sheet is in its own header line (between "Hypertune" and "page metadata"), which is not copy.
- **`/technology` meta:** "the technology behind Hypertune" and "and beyond" are filler and say less than C1's version. Suggested replacement, 147 characters, primary word for word: "Optimize PC for gaming with Hypertune: CPU and GPU overclocking, plus memory, Windows and network tuning. It only applies the features you turn on."
- **`/guides` meta, if `/guides` is not the BIOS gaming page:** 145 characters, no clash: "Free BIOS guides for gaming PCs: enable XMP or EXPO, update your BIOS and set up Intel XTU, with steps for ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI boards."
- **`/guides/xtu-bios-vbs`:** Bobby's rewrite removes the rhetorical question that opened C1's version. An improvement.

## 4. Primary keywords with no evidence in our data

| Page | Primary | What our data shows | What the data supports instead |
|---|---|---|---|
| `/` | game optimizer | Has Ahrefs volume (US 250, KD 22), but no Hypertune impressions, Razer and Hone hold #1 and #2, Ahrefs labels it branded, and V12 never pulled it. Bobby's own GSC column for the homepage doesn't list it | "pc optimization for gaming" (US 300 / global 800, KD 0; homepage pos 7.0 to 7.1, 504 to 603 impr) and "pc optimization" (US 250 / global 1,100; pos 8.4). The move was a positioning call by Bobby on 7 Oct (stand apart from Hone). It may be right, but it needs his reason in writing, plus a plan to check the homepage's position on "pc optimization for gaming" four weeks after launch |
| `/guides` | bios guide for gaming | Nothing in Ahrefs or GSC | "best bios settings for gaming" or "bios settings for gaming", if `/guides` is the BIOS gaming page. Otherwise treat `/guides` as a brand sitelink with no primary, as V12 does for `/tutorial` |
| `/guides/xtu-bios` | intel xtu | Not in Ahrefs; 2 GSC impressions for "xtu" | Nothing pulled. Keep "intel xtu bios settings" (the audit's example) until Bobby shows data |
| `/guides/xtu-bios-vbs` | intel xtu vbs | Nothing | Nothing pulled. Supports the canonicalise-or-keep question already in C1 |
| `/guides/amd-bios` | how to enable expo | Nothing | Nothing pulled |
| `/guides/xmp-bios` | how to enable xmp | Nothing | Nothing pulled |
| `/guides/bios-update` | how to update bios | 3 GSC impressions, pos 7; not in Ahrefs | Nothing pulled |
| `/tutorial` | how to use Hypertune | Nothing for the phrase; the page earns brand searches ("hypertune download" 365 impr at pos 1) | V12: brand sitelink, no primary needed |
| `/uninstall`, `/what-hypertune-changes` | how to uninstall hypertune; what does hypertune change | Nothing | Pages redirect; drop |

Supported by data: "optimize PC for gaming" (`/technology`) and "PC optimization services" (`/expert-tuning`).

The six BIOS guide phrases were all marked "to confirm with Bobby" in C1 because nothing had been pulled. His sheet keeps them without adding data. A single Ahrefs keyword overview for these eight phrases (US and global) would settle them for a few hundred units; Som can run it if Bobby has no data of his own.

## 5. Questions for Bobby (only what blocks handover)

1. **Homepage "game optimizer".** What data is it based on? Ours shows US 250, KD 22, Razer #1 and Hone #2, and no Hypertune impressions, while the homepage ranks 7th for "pc optimization for gaming". If it is a positioning choice, please say so in the sheet. *Overlaps Vinny's question on his primary keyword logic.*
2. **`/guides` and the BIOS page.** Is `/guides` the BIOS gaming page agreed on 7 Oct, or is there a separate "best bios settings for gaming" page? If separate, the `/guides` meta can't lead with that phrase. *Same as Vinny's question on the separate BIOS hub page.*
3. **`/guides/xtu-bios`.** Why "intel xtu" instead of "intel xtu bios settings", and how does it stay clear of the VBS page and the planned Intel XTU comparison? *Partly overlaps Vinny's primary keyword question.*
4. **H1s.** Were the H1s left off the Metadata tab on purpose? If not, can we use C1's H1s for those pages? *New.*
5. **BIOS guides tab.** It is labelled "Pending SEO Check". Is it checked now? *New.*
6. **Meta length.** Is 120 to 160 your standard? Ours is 140 to 155, and 10 of your metas are under 140. A one-word answer is enough. *New, quick.*

Not a question, just a confirmation for the sheet: `/what-hypertune-changes` and `/uninstall` both 301 to `/technology` today, so both rows come out.

**Overlap with Vinny's four questions.** Only two of Vinny's four are known to this review (primary keyword logic, e.g. "game optimizer"; the separate BIOS hub page). Questions 1 to 3 fold into those two. Questions 4 to 6 are new. If Vinny's other two questions cover H1s, the pending tab or meta length, merge them rather than sending twice. Som to paste Vinny's exact four so the checker can confirm.

## Handoff note for the checking model

This analysis is being checked by another model. Do not rely on this reading: fetch the sheet yourself, recount every character, and check every evidence figure against the raw files. Report only (a) issues this review missed, (b) findings you think are wrong, with the source line, and (c) any suggested copy that adds a fact not in V13.
